Dots, dots, dots and more dots!!!!

Ever since I was a teen I loved getting my nails done and having designs on them, when I started the esthetician program I had to keep my nails short and clean. Now instead of getting long acrylic nails, I have gotten obsessed with doing my own manicures. Since manicures only last for a week on my nails I do my own. I try and get creative and do my own designs but I have come to see that I LOVE putting dots over my polish just to make them fun! :) Here is a sample of black nail polish with gold dots. Real easy!

Products Used:
(All supplies where purchased at Sally's Beauty Supplies, but you can get any polish anywhere)
-Nail Life Gripper, which is a base coat to protect your nails from getting stained or yellow from color polish.
-Orly Nail Lacquer: GOTH
-Orly Nail Lacquer: GLITZ
-Any clear coat will do, to protect the color and keep the polish shinny
-A tooth pick or a nail design tool

Procedure:
Before applying polish trim your nails and file neatly.

Apply Base coat then let dry

Apply Goth over base coat, i like to put 2-3 coats to have an even color and then let dry completely.

Take a tooth pick or as i did i bought a nail design pick from Sally's Beauty Supplies with on tip a thin brush and the other a circle tip.

Take GLITZ and take a drop of color and put it on a piece of paper, then take your tooth pick or design tool and dip the round tip of it the GLITZ color on the piece of paper.

Now have fun and apply dots however you want on your nail color. Put it on one side of your nail or like me, ALL OVER! :)

Now after letting the dots dry apply Clear coat and dry. Have fun, use colors you want and sometimes you find color combo's you think would not look good end up looking amazing. Just enjoy and try different designs just to have fun. Its a great way of letting your creativity take over!!! Enjoy!
